JANE THOMPSON,  B.E.S., B. Arch, OAA, MRAIC

Jane established an architectural firm in 1991 after graduating with Honours from the University of Waterloo and working for many other architects across Canada.  She has led projects in the Ottawa area since 1995, meeting with clients to learn about their requirements, supervising design and technical drawings, assisting with contractor selection and the construction process.  Particular interests are environmental design and research, energy efficiency, creating new buildings, additions or renovations that belong in their settings and exploring the potential of living well in small spaces.

ERIN DUNCAN,  B. Arch, OAA, OAQ

Erin began working with Jane Thompson Architect in 2007.  Throughout the years with the firm, Erin has worked on a diverse range of projects including multi-unit residential, commercial buildings, religious facilities, schools and numerous additions and renovations to existing homes.  Erin has seen projects through the LEED and GreenHouse certification process and enjoys working in a firm that is environmentally conscious and encourages clients to achieve the most sustainable building suited to their individual needs.  Erin graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Architecture and is a licensed architect with the Ontario Association of Architects and l’Ordre des Architectes du Québec .

AMIE HENDERSON,  Dipl. Arch. Tech.

Amie has worked as an architectural technologist for Jane Thompson Architect since 2006, creating drawings for single and multi-unit residential, commercial and institutional buildings.  She has experience with all project stages including measured and design drawings, construction drawings and permit process as well as site review.  Amie has participated in several projects that focused on environmentally friendly building practices.  She is particularly interested in maximizing the potential of all building spaces to cut down on overall building footprints, including innovative storage solutions and floor plan layouts to suit client's specific needs.  Before she joined Jane Thompson Architect, Amie attended Loyalist College and graduated with an Architectural Technologist diploma in 2006.

ISABEL CHIN, Dipl. Arch. Tech.

Isabel joined the firm in 2016 with the role of architectural technologist. At Jane Thompson Architect she has worked on a variety of projects with a spectrum of responsibilities from measured drawings and design to site reports. While working at the firm, she hopes to improve her ability in finding ways to incorporate new design into existing homes to make the space more efficient yet natural. Isabel studied at Algonquin College in the Architectural Technology program and received her diploma in 2016.
